Dr. Maryam Ashraghi

Dr. Ashraghi has been working in the dental field for over two full decades now! She loves being able to improve her patients' quality of life by elevating not only their oral health but also, their confidence. During these visits, trust and comfort always come first. Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?

Dr. Ashraghi actually decided to be a dentist when she was just 17 years old. She suffered an accident, falling and breaking her front tooth. Since that time, she’s always been extremely cautious about her smile, and ultimately, she realized that she wanted to help others take good care of their teeth too. With some encouragement from her father, she started on this path and has never looked back.

Where Did You Study Dentistry?

After graduating from dental school in 2003, Dr. Ashraghi also completed three years of specialty training in restorative and cosmetic dentistry under a full academic scholarship. Afterward, she underwent two years of residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry at the University of Rochester. Today, her 20+ years of experience in the general field covers fillings, crowns, bridges, root canal treatment, extractions, cosmetic dentistry, and much more.

Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?

Originally from Iran, Dr. Ashraghi came to America and built a new life from the ground up. Today, she lives with her daughter and their dog Gasper. Although dentistry is her true passion, some of her favorite hobbies in her spare time include working out, reading, writing, and meditating.

  Posting on behalf of my mother, Sarah. I can’t say enough about Alpine Dental! I came here originally with a dental emergency and found out an extraction was needed. As a VERY nervous patient, and typically enduring appointments (even cleanings) only if sedated, I was able to make it through without it for the first time in a very long time. Dr. Maryam Ashraghi and her entire staff were so patient, kind, understanding, and gentle. Instructions were clear for after care and Dr. Ashraghi even gave me her cell phone number in case I had questions or issues after hours.
